If you’re looking for the safety and convenience of living in El Poblado but prefer something a little more suburban away from the tourist zone of Parque Lleras then this is the perfect place to live. If you walk 10 minutes to the south you will reach La Frontera which is the border of El Poblado and Envigado. Here you can find another couple of shopping malls, more supermarkets, loads of restaurants and a couple more gyms. Walk another 10 minutes and you’ll reach an up and coming area of Envigado called Jardines, known for having the best restaurants and cafes in Medellin. A further 10 mins walk you’ll arrive at Parque Envigado a very traditional zone more Colombian in style. Envigado is technically another city but is in fact part of the broader Medellin district. Recently Envigado has become a popular area for foreigners who like to explore the old world charm that you don’t see in modern Poblado.
If you don’t like to walk there are plenty of taxis and buses that pass by the front door of the apartment building, it’s super convenient.
